* We have implemented the following guide for using our community forums. This guide is designed to strike a balance between the main goal of our forums, providing support, and keeping the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere of our community.

* We require all posts to be positive, constructive, and on topic. We may delete individual posts that could ruin a good topic thread.

* We reserve the right to remove any topics we deem inappropriate or disruptive to our community. Please note that, from time to time, topics may be removed for being inappropriate even though your individual post in that topic may have been perfectly fine. Please do not feel this reflects badly on you.

* Having fun is good, we like fun. Please keep it positive and polite. We do not censor opinions or ideas on our forums but we do take action against posts and/or topics that could cause unrest in the community beyond a civil and polite disagreement.

* You may not make personal attacks on other users or staff members either in public forums or private messages.

* You may not use profanity. It is unprofessional and offensive and will not be tolerated. We have word filters in place for the most vulgar terms. Circumventing those word filters will result in punitive action.

* You may not advertise or promote without previous arrangements.

* Spamming will not be tolerated.

* We reserve the right to ban any member who violates our guidelines or disrupts our community. We will be fair and provide warning in most cases.

* If you have an issue concerning our services, policies, or staff, please use a personal contact method such as a private message or email to a staff member. All moderators, administrators, and support staff are highlighted in the active members list. We take serious complaints to heart and will do our best to address them.

The Golden Rules

1. There will be no profanity.

2. There will be no racial, ethnic, gender based insults or any other personal discriminations.

3. There will be no posts meant to offend or hurt any other member, in a manner which is offensive or inflammatory.

4. Spamming is not permitted; please keep all your posts as constructive as possible.

5. Pornography, warez, or any other illegal transactions may NOT be linked in any shape or form.

6. All posts are property of the poster. This forum and all web sites owned in conjunction with this forum have the right to request alteration or deletion of any offensive post. Posts may be deleted for any reasons the forum administrators deem reasonable.

7. Users may not argue a moderators decision publicly. Any and all complaints directed at a moderator must first address the moderator in question via PM. If the problem can not be resolved, then the moderator and user must send their positions to the forum admin. The forum admin will make or change any and/or all final decisions.

8. Pictures may be posted as long as they are not explicive or offensive.

9. Signatures may contain images, but may not be any larger than 300x100; 468x60 banners are also permitted (within reason). If your signature is larger than the allotted size given or deemed unacceptable by staff, you will be requested by a moderator to resize or change your image. Please also try and keep text signatures under 5 lines. Failing to comply with a moderator's request will result in the removal of your signature.

10. Please keep foul language to a minimum, any excessive un-called for language will be removed and you will receive a final warning.

11. Remember to post in the correct forum. Take your time to look at other topics and see where your topic should go. If your topic is placed in the wrong forum, it will be moved by a moderator.

12. If a topic is recognized as being posted in the wrong forum, or if the post is a violation of our guidelines then please contact a moderator either via PM or the 'report post to moderator' feature; please do not respond publicly to the member - a member of staff will do what is required upon contact. Any person/s who attempt to present themselves as a Moderator by posting negatively to a member's topic (which has been posted in error and requires locking or moving to another forum) will be sent a PM warning and placed into moderation queue upon further actions.

13. Any impersonation of a user from these forums, in any mode of communication, is strictly prohibited and will result in a banning.

14. Linked and locked topics are pruned regularly to reduce page clutter. If you have a question about where your topic went, please PM a Moderator or Administrator before starting a new topic asking where it went, or posting a duplicate of the original topic. We will be happy to provide you with a link to the new location, or a reason why it was locked and/or removed.

15. If you are linking to external content, you should link directly to that content. It is unacceptable to use link-thru systems to mask the originating URL, and cases where this is found to be happening may be edited or removed as appropriate.

16. If you are posting a completed piece or work in-progress and wish to have it critiqued, include in your topic that you wish to have it critiqued. (The mention of minor differences does not apply as a critique). Any inflammatory non-constructive comments will be removed at the discretion of the staff.

17. Copyright issues: You may include a single photograph or paragraph from a published text in your post if you give proper credit to the owner. This is covered under the "Fair Use" clause which protects such reproduction for "research/educational" purposes. Whole image collections, chapters from published texts etc is not permitted without expressed consent from the authors/owners and is in violation of international copyright law. This includes linking to such matter as planetFigure does not endorse or tolerate pirate works.

18. Piracy issues: News posted about or pertaining to pirating, casting, knock-off or reproductions of commercial kits will be removed. Postings about pirated work or where to locate it will be removed. planetFigure does not endorse or tolerate pirate works.

Hitler Vignette

Mr. Gordy Stronach,

Allow me to introduce myself; my name is Kevin Anderson, owner of Anderson Executive Management distributor of the Hitler vignette. Within the past week I have read the controversy over the vignette model.

My company & I would like to extend our apologies if we have offended anyone regarding this model. It was not our intentions, nor our goal to set out to hurt anyone.

I take full responsibility distributing this model; we thought it was simply a historical model that would be interesting to collect. My company and I did not set out to start a negative controversy within your website. My company & I do not condone, idolize, or follow the political idealism of Hitler and the Nazi madness. Our intention was to sculpt a model of past history. Again, please except my humble apologies’ if I or my company has offended anyone. In addition, the Hitler vignettes shall be limited, there will be no more distribution once all are sold. This shall be a limited edition.

Thank You!
You’re most obliged & respectful,
Kevin Anderson, owner of Anderson Executive Management, LLC

Kevin,

Thank you for your time and reply. Controversies are nothing new to planetFigure and given the wide audience that comes that visits planetFigure, it is not without doubt individuals will view or read something unpleasant.

Thanks again and best successes with your future endeavors,
gordy

Gordy,
Recently, I have to sign in every time I go off and come back to the website...it's probably me, (I just automatically assume it is), but is there something that that I'm missing?
Don't get it...

Cheers,
Phil Bracco

I apologize if it's a breach of etiquette for me to jump in, but if I may offer-

Phil, the next time you log in, look for a checkbox marked, "Remember Me", next to the userid field. If I'm not mistaken, checking that will store your credentials as a cookie on your hard drive, and call it up the next time you access PlanetFigure. The website's authentication can then read your credentials and give you access.

Again, I apologize, if only Gordy is to respond, but I saw that and thought I could help!

Best regards, and prosit!
Brad

Hi, Gordy, glad to assist, especially if I was right :D

I work for a software company, I test software now, but I spent a long time doing support work, so it's almost a reflex, when someone says, "This doesn't work!", I start asking questions, "OK, what steps did you follow, did you see this, did you see that?" etc, etc

Prost!
Brad

I admit I forget to log out also " Mia culpa". I also don't know if I'm doing things wrong, so let me know.

What are reputation points? Is this a bad thing?

Tony
