Hi all,

I have just started (yesterday) my new project in completely new scale for me, which is 90 mm. It so small ;) (ok, ok - I know that you can even to sculpture in 28 mm scale) comparing to my usual 1/9 busts, but on the other hand there is possible to build the figure faster since it is smaller and needs less detailing.

The figure will presents Russian Infantryman from XV century in ordinary, not dynamic pose. The inspiration for this figure comes from Osprey.

Ok, here it goes - some pictures: armature and head

Soon more pictures (maybe even today).

Hello Piotr...looks like you're gonna have some fun on this one, nice subject too.
Here I am thinking I might try some 90mm sculpting for a change..(just recently I've been working a little smaller..65mm & 54mm) and I'm concerned how much BIGGER it is and how much EXTRA detail I've got to consider.

Looking forward to some more photo's as you progress.

All the best.

Roy.

Hello,

thank you very much for your fast and very kind comments. Ok, here it goes.

I will have to stop for a moment to let it cure, because I' ve started to ruin the details with my fingers. Of course bottom part of the skirt isn't finished yet, I will add two more layers (mail and kind of skirt) and it requires some sanding.

Hi all,

I have just finished painting the figure. I decided to weather him a bit (maybe I have gone to far with it, but I like the mud ;). I'm still not very happy with the overall efect, but what do you think about it?

Hello Piotr, Next time you may want to look at the proportions of the figure a bit closer when you prepare the armature, before you even start to flesh it out, basicly with this one the torso is too tall and the legs are too short which makes the figure look odd. Anyway keep at it ;)
