I do,nt know if this will be of interest to everyone but I see the British Legion Somme poppy has sold out after being featured on the BBC,s breakfast show.I went to the web site to have a look but thought foolishly I had plenty of time after all there were over 19,000 of them one for every soldier killed on the first day I was going to get one in memory of my grandfather and great uncle ,I doubt they were all bought by people who lost someone and now they cant get one unless they make more. For you who do,nt know they are made from shell fuses collected on the Somme. The sad part is there is one already on Ebay for over £100.Sorry to be so long winded but I find this very sad

Pete. You are right in your sadness. My wife tried to obtain one as a mark of respect to those who died. She also got the sold out notice. Her response was, 'I bet half of these will be on E-Bay, very quickly, disgusting people. Yep, she was right, and you have proved it. .... Shameful people.
