 Okay....

Not a subject I would have chosen...

But, no complaints on your technique. IT's very well done and I'd like to see some of your non -Saddam related work! :)

Keith

Arthur: fleshtones look pretty good (y)

Keith: how about converting the bust? Say, add long scraggly hair & beard to look like "Spider-Hole Saddam" and title it "I wish to negotiate ..."

Hello Arthur and welcome to the Planet. For your first bust you have done exceptionally well. The flesh tones are great and I can see you are on your way to being a fine bust artist. Keep up the great work. What is your next project?

GOOD JOB,Arthur (y) (y) ;like Guy said, you're on your way to being a fine bust artist ! Keep up the fine work and let us know what your next project's going to be(something non-controversial hopefully ;) ) Cheers.
Kenneth.

Arthur,
That's the way the hobby should be - painting/sculpting first, politics later (or better yet "never"). I'm sure your next project will smooth out any ruffled feathers ;)

Nicely sculpted and painted but not my cup of tea.

I agree, it should about the hobby and not politics.

Roc. :)

No problem for or from me... Sorry if my first post came off that way ;)

Keith

Keith,
your post is fine , nothing wrong it. ;)
we like the workmanship, but that's not something that we would rush to buy.

Roc. :)

Superb bust painting!!! Which I could paint busts like that.

As for the subject. If we have to take that in account we couldn't paint anything from Ghengis Khan, over Waffen Ss soldier to Modern American soldier in Iraq who seem to be torturing. So don't mind the subject, just look at the painting, which is extremely well done in this case.

greetz,

Gino.

Gordy,
I consider myself repremainded in advance for this posting, but felt as though I owe it to the Soldiers who serve with honor and courage that their integrity is protected, and I, for one, am their biggest champion and cannot allow a slur against them go unchallenged!

Gino,
Let's be clear here, it's not the American Soldier who is torturing.
Those who torture are not Soldiers but fools and cowards that use the uniform as a vail to justify their hanious acts. There are too many American Soldiers who are and continue to serve their country with intregrity, honor, courage and who have willingly made the ultimate sacrifice for the Iraqi people to taste the freedoms they hold so dear. I can not for a minute allow you to confuse the coward with that of a true Soldier.
Our Soldiers are the best men and women of charactor and morals, but like any "culture" we have those who lack the same moral fiber that a true Soldier holds dear. But, hey, sometimes they slip through and under combat situations, the true charactor of a Soldier comes out. 99.99999% of the Soldiers fighting today posses courage, charactor and morals that you can only imagine. Don't ever let the sins of the few tarnish the courage and sacrifices of the many, Gino, that is unfair.
The American Soldier isn't torturing Gino, cowards are, please understand that.
I would ask that you reconsider the generalization that you have made.

This is not a political forum......I suggest strongly that each use the pm service available here on the planet to express any political beliefs to others.

Guy,
I got it, and don't intend to turn this into a political debate, but I will not idly sit by and let the honor of the American Soldier be called into question.
You know my position; enough said
