My first post on this forum as a painter.
Here is my version of Saladin, I did that quickly in two days when I do not carve it in oil that's why it shines again, I did as I imagined by designing the color is quite dark but not quite to my taste.

Let the image that are not too terrible .... sorry!

I worked my oil and acrylic as I do not like the side who also fade when you look good n'exsite too .... and then z. I like to paint me as well without taking the head with technique that I know only too well.
Hoping you like it ..

This bust is infamous for the fact that one facial page is modeled a little bit strangely.

I think, you have made the best one from it.

Regards

Can you go further, because you know I'm the modeler.

My painting is truly a very very quick painting of a novice in this area, so for the development of the pieces I'm not sure, but I know what offends you so much about my creation, and that in any Franchise and "sincéritée" because I did not oversized ego that I'd forgotten that we must always question their work, although fortunately he was pleased as anything else tastes and colors "is discussed
Maybe you made some of the people who have received my parts to me beyond the Rhine June July if so I'll finally have some feedback ....

I think something may be lost in translation Vincent, if it isn't. I think that it's a stunning sculpt. Also an excellent attempt at painting.
Carl.

Maybe, but be as little as translation is good, and I assure you the contrary, critics are of course hard to digest but they are advancing, so really there's no worries.
But it is true that the translation of both ................('s what it is not having enough orking at school in English)

Vincent,
I think Martin means that the left side of his face is not sculpted the same as the right side. On the left side under the eye you can see a large blob.
I believe that is the only remark.

Nice use of colours Chevalier :) (y)

What would be the cheekbone (blob) on the left is covered by mail on the right, the symmetry looks fine to me :)

No, chevalier vincent, I did not know that you are the sculptor of the bust.

I knew it up to now only from reports from two german forums. And my opinion has formed on account of those threads.

Two good painters have shown this bust at the german HZ-Forum and both have written that it is enormously difficult on account of the modelling to paint the face appropriately.

I am not able to set any links to those threads, unfortunately, because the old HZ-Forum was hacked and all threads were destroyed.

But the same thread of one of tose two painters You can see at the german "bemalforum".

The english translation is:

"Number 3 is a Saladin bust of any French Sculptor his name I have edged out. The Sculpt has a few even grayish weaknesses, e.g., the whole face is skew most badly. Nevertheless, the bust has something. So here mal the first pictures WIp."

At other place below writes the same painter:

"The bust has heavy Weaknesses with the modelling and together with my afterwards not so quite successful colour choice, it has brought me, nevertheless, hard to the edge to throw it to the wall."

And yes, I agree to Marc.

I meant this part of the face - for me this place looks a little bit strange really...:

I have personally no problem with it if one criticises my own works here at this forum.
But I also take the freedom to write my - seldom, but however
sometimes also critical - opinion to other works.

Of course I did not want to step to you too near.

Please, excuse if my criticism appeared to you too hard.
But to say such a thing must also be possible.

Regards

I agree with you but here the symmetry take a mirror and look at you ............
I know very well that figure are very strict criteria, though often unrealistic, but yes it has been lacking and I work to correct this.

But I also recommend a good look at the bust of trade on every corner and really tighten you surprised to see that some do not look at the same level the crooked nose or something else besides usually when the photos on the package are 3 / 4 is very often to mask errors.
The problem with this piece is that with very, very prominent cheekbones and all the rest of the face is that all the fault appears, but hey I like it and you will see the bust coming bust are much better, fewer abnormalities
The bust was a first on many things, fabrics, metal mesh and scale.
