I finally have the courage to do a Samourai .
It's a 54mm from Pegaso.

A Great effort for your first Samurai, they are a very hard subject, made even more so in 54mm.

Gentlemen, thanks a lot for your compliments.
The samourai is indeed a hard subject ( but at the same time, their uniforms/armours are so colorful and interesting) and perhaps that's the reason why there aren't too many people painting these Japanese warriors, at least don't see too many of them on the internet.
For the last couple of months, I was "playing" with the red color with different medium on the masters or prototypes for the painted soldiers, thus this gave a chance to blend different colors to the basic red. Here's one of them.

To me the outstanding thing about this figure is the way that all of the colours compliment each other. The large areas of red sometimes overpower the other colours, but not in this case.
