Hello Planeteers!
My second work for this year, Mike Good's sculpt of a Don Cossack in Paris 1814, 120mm figure produced by Steve Kirtley's SK Miniatures and painted in oils as usual.
Being a straight up and down figure, I posed him as a happy cossack sightseeing in Paris after clobbering the armies of the Corsican upstart, some spoils of Napoleonic grandeur referring to the fleeting allegiance of the Parisians!;)

Thanks for looking,

Lovely job Pierre, especially that blue. I have looked at this figure a few times and seeing a painted version has convinced me it is worth investing in.

Is this based on a picture ?

Thank you, Nap!

Not based on a picture but very vaguely inspired by the drawings of Opitz on the Russian visit to Paris at that time. Upon opening the kit, I was at a loss what to do with a straightforward, simple almost monochrome 120mm figure.
So I decided to make it into a small presentation to show the admirers of the Corsican which side I'm on!:D:D:D

cheers,
Pierre
