Hello friends.
This is my latest.
120mm Verlinden.
Painted with oils and acrylics.
The emblem is not based on reality.
All the best.
Ralph.

Verlinden's samurai still are among the best ever produced. You have certainly done justice to yours. Please forgive me but I have only a very small corrective remark. It is a very common mistake (I have seen it more than once) and it comes mainly from the fact that Verlinden produces his samurai with the shins cast separately both from the upper and the lower leg thus making it very difficult to tell right from left.In fact the part of the shinguards where the metal strips are not reaching down to the ankle is the inner part (in real armour that part was covered by a piece of leather in order to prevent the metal parts chaffing the stirrup leathers). So it serves as a guide when assembling the figure.Given that, the only "mistake"in this figure is that the right shin has been placed in the left's place and vice versa.Of course this can only been spotted by someone who has a special interest in Japanese armour and it does not in any way diminish your very good painting of the figure.I have only commented on it in order to help others, who will have a go at this sculpting masterpiece, avoid the same mistake.

Oda.
