I have a bust 1/10th that I have jsut primed but I am finding rough spots, i guess resin accumulations between the face and hair line which are deep and on the eye lids. The were mosylt caused by me scraping out resinparticles. ANy suggestions on how to smooth these areas out?

When I want to sand a very small area, I cut a small peice of sanding film, clamp one corner in cross-action tweezers, and roll it into a slender cone shape around the tips of the tweezer, then remove the tweezer and clamp it back on, so that the tweezer holds the loose end, keeping the cone shape. You can get a very small, round point this way. I hope that makes sense.

resin anomalies, if small, are real quick to remove

this bur is nearly invisible (it's a first gen casting i couldn't find a suitable candidate!)

a sharp rounded knife will preven 'edge-gouging' or flat spots

a fibre-pencil is great for blurring the stump..

... That German looks like Werner Molders ! (y) Great sculpting !!!!

Fibre pencil seems a good method here, thanks for the tip. But what do you do when the rough spot is situated in a hollow - very fine grade steel wool ?

Thanks that was a bust I did for VP several years ago ;)

for a small, tight area I'd use one of my small scoops ( a flattened metal rod tapered and filed-sanded smooth sharp along the sides) and not worry too much for sanding thereafter..
