Sapper, Mexican Cavalry, 1836

Hi Guys,

Some pics of my latest sculpt, based on some odds and ends from Verlinden in the spares box. Originally, this was to be more of a conversion, but it has ended up as a virtual resculpt, with only the neck of the original visible! Based on the pic in the Osprey Alamo book.

This is a one off for a customer, scale 120mm done using my usual Duro and Milliput. Shoulder belt buckle is a thin sliver of plastic tube, caplines are solder wire, impressed to depict plaiting. Buttons are plastic rod drilled, fitted, then sanded down to size.

I just hope no-one pipes up with one when you post it as completed.

Yeh, it does! Roger pointed me in the direction of the San Jacinto Museum and I emailed them - it would appear that there is no record of there being a patch and my other sources certainly dont mention it and I cant find any pics - so read into that what you will...!!
