Hi

Here is my latest release, back to WW2 for this one. This time a German, SS Technical Sergeant. it is based on a photo of a WW2 re-enacter, he looks particularly mean, somebody you would not want to meet down the proverbial dark ally!.

The kit has 5 parts: head, torso, right arm withMP40, to ammo pouches and the pedestal.
As with my other busts, the prise if £20.00 plus postage:

Hi Peter

Good to see Sarnia releasing , a challenge to paint the camo

I see the weapon handle is folded up rather than opened as in reference ....wise move as casting wouldn't be easiest
I would prime the pieces to avoid the glare on the resin ...just a thought

One thing if I may I have seen listings on eBay @ £16.50 ??

Thanks for sharing

Hi Nap

Good idea about the primer.

the £16.50 price on ebay is a result of, you guessed it; BREXIT!

As from 1 January, 2021 the Inland Revenue has classed ebay as a 'market place', the result of this is that ebay has the legal responsibility to collect VAT on all sales made by non-UK sellers to UK residents. I live in Guernsey which is outside the UK for VAT purposes and so ebay has got to collect VAT on all of my sales, and pass the amount collected to the inland Revenue.

strangely, the way ebay has decided to calculate VAT is to ADD the VAT onto the final sale price, including postage. Therefore any sale on ebay for £16.50 will have 20% added by ebay. i have included in the product description a warning in in bold that there will be this additional charge. This brings the actual price of ebay sales to £20.00.

for sales from my website, the process is the same as pre-2021 - I have to make a c-22 declaration on the package and the local post office will charge me 20% VAT on top ot the postage, and the Post Post Office then pays the VAT to the UK Inland Revenue.

a long way of saying the £16.50 is the ex-VAT price ontop of which VAT is added, whereas the £20.00 includes VAT, out of which I will pay the VAT . The result is the same.

you got to love Brexit!!!

Peter
