Finally got this one put together.
It’s a 90mm Barton Miniatures figure of a Saxon at the Battle of Stamford Bridge, 1066, which was fought in the North of England (immediately prior to Hastings) against an invading Norwegian army.
Those interested can read all about the Battle HERE.
I’ve tried to depict the quilting as indicated by Steve (‘Helm’) in his 'Uniform Reference' post ‘War of the Roses’, and some of my efforts can be seen in my short W.I.P. HERE.
Most of the painting is oils over enamels, Printers Ink (from El Greco) for the bronze and some metal acrylics also found their way into the mix.
Hope you like it.
Cheers,
Andrew
