WIP Scale 75 Ragnar Lothbrok - 8th June 793

Hi all,

During lock down I started painting minis again mostly due to the extra time I had with working from home having no daily commute (Post work BTW!) It re-kindled the love I have for all things ancient and fantasy, something I'd neglected for quite a few years. My main interest is DnD, Fantasy and post Roman Northumbria. Having got into the TV series Vikings and Last Kingdom, the logical step was to learn more about the period (450 - 1066) and mebbies even learn a bit of the language!

TLTR - I bought an excellent text book to begin the journey and can now read and speak a bit of what might have been a common tongue around the time of this build and paint. My wife and I also spent a fab week on holiday in Bambrugh! Highly recommended although the castle was a bit disappointing.

We loved Lindisfarne also and that was the inspiration for this build.

Not really happy with the way its going but it might come ok..... Sorry for the poor quality images, the light up here right now is really bad. Better pics to come.
