I now have Sid Naique's full range of superbly detailed portrait busts available in the website

www.scale-collectables.com

Two which I will highlight are Liam Neeson and Delores Abernathy from the Westworld TV series

Both come in a range of scales and are 3d printed to a very high resolution so every detail is captured

Sid is at the top of his game and the likeness and detail he achieves in his subjects is truly amazing

Liam Neeson is a 2 part bust and Delores is a single piece model. The 1/5th bust of Delores is pictured next to a 1/10th scale example and you can see no detail is lost at all, especially in her fine lace clothing

Certainly. He has an incredible ability to capture likeness of the actual people.
Dolores is great, as are the Carnival Row trio.

Undoubted quality, a good likeness. I also have to say a very different subject, that opens up the hobby to others.

You are right Ian, Sid’s subjects attract a lot of people into painting and it has been great seeing younger people progressing into the hobby

Hi Mark

Thanks for sharing the new releases , both look really good , Sid is a real talent capturing subjects so well ....particularly like the hairwork he does

Hope we see painted versions

No doubt that is Liam and yes the sculptor Sid has skills.

Not sold on Delores Abernathy, it seems less time was spent capturing her likeness compared to the other featured bust. Face details look a bit masculine but maybe the harsh lighting on the images is doing that. The shape of her hair in front should reveal more of her forehead which may help offset the prominent chin and cheek bone structure.

Can't argue with anything said here so far but the TV/Film thing is not my thing.
The skill displayed here just makes me wish that it was applied to real life historical subjects from portraits or photos and in scales that could be applied to other model scales. imagine these head sculpts in 120mm-1/16th applied to convert/super-detail other manufacturers kits.

Being 3d printed the heads can be scaled down quite successfully David. I am lucky that Sid has given me permission to use just the heads from his busts and 1/6th scale is very popular. I have also done 1/12th scale and the detail that Sid puts into his creations is still fantastic

What an incredible range this is becoming, so many choices.
The Liam Neeson bust is amazing.

Maybe 1/16th would be a limited market but I remember replacement heads for pre-existing garage kits and 1/6th scale posable figures being a thing some time ago. As Sid's heads are 3d printed maybe a market worth considering (if profitable) as a print to order on demand basis?
