Here we have the 2nd Part of the detailed Open Book Review of Scale Modelling Manual Vol.7 published by Mr Black Publications and written by the Master Ernesto Reyes Stalhuth. In addition, we have the Open Box review of the Nuts planet Bust along with advises and suggestions on How to Use the Ernesto Reyes Stalhuth Palette for almost every figure! In this issue we’ll cover the detailed painting process of a Viking large 1/10 scale bust (with some fantasy elements) from the well-known South Korean company Nuts Planet. The master artist Ernesto Reyes Stalhuth explains in 28 pages, his painting process that includes how to use paintbrushes, the airbrush and a wet palette. Please note that he also wrote down the approximate mixing proportions for brush painting using a wet palette, and for airbrushing (exact match). All these are covered in 91 step-by-step photos.

The artist used a combination of airbrush and paintbrush to get the most from each tool. As he used a wet palette for the brush painting, the mixing proportions are approximate. The airbrush mixing proportions are exactly matched. We also present two airbrushes from Fengda and Astromodel (www.astromodelstore.com) that can be used easily for applying base coats and more on this bust. We are also explaining how to dilute Vallejo Model Color for airbrush use. There are 91 detailed step-by-step photographs with explanatory captions in a total of 98 illustrations that reveal all the secrets on how the Flesh Tones were painted for blond hair, beard, eyebrows, the fur, shoulder armour, metals and horns. Following this is work on the chest, the rivets, golden plate, waist belt, the armulet and golden rings. Seven all-round views of the finished bust are presented in whole page illustrations. The artist used a total of 52 acrylic paints (four of them inks), 41 of them come from Vallejo Acrylics (www.acrylicosvallejo.com) various series and the complete list follows in the video...
