I decided to move quickly on from El Greco knight, take what I learned and the mistakes i made and start a fresh with a new bust.

Still a beginner but the more I paint, the more I learn and I really think it is starting to show. So far I am quite happy with how this "Scottish Laird" bust is turning out. I need to add the final shade and final highlight to the face, a little bit more blending, but other than that I feel it is about done.

I am going to move onto the hair next which brings me to the burning question - does anyone have any tutorials/sbs for painting hair?

Comments, advice, help, critique are all most welcome.

Looking good so far. If you haven't seen it, this is a very good tutorial for painting hair by Ben Komets:

Looks to me like you have things well in hand at this point. Lights and darks all planned out. I'm eager to see how it develops along the way.

Hi, that looks really nice, colours look great, just one little thing I've noticed and it could be the angle of the picture but are the eye's both even or is one slightly off kilter? Just an observation but looks like it's going well.
Regards
Chris.
