Hi all I have just got back from a great day at the White Rose Club. we had a session on sculpting heads. What a great time we all had.

I would like to thank Dametri for giving his time to show us the basics. It was a joy as most of us had never attempted to sculpt a head before. It was interesting to see how we did. we came up with some very interesting results.

we now can see the skill involved in doing such work. we have taken our pieces home to do more work on going to be interesting to see how they turn out. the heads were all around the 200mm scale. what made it good was that we all started from the same point and had great fun pointing out what each others heads looked like.

All in all a great afternoon and one 5that I know we will be putting on again in the near future. A big thank you goes out to Ian for putting the class together CHEERS Mate.

hi guys sorry for the delay in getting back. shame chippy you live so far away we all had a great time. Mat your always welcome to come and join us any time. the material was 2 different kinds. it was a mix of A&B Putty and Duro. it was great to work with. he put a bit of baby oil in the mix to stop it sticking to our hands and it helped to keep it soft to work with.

We all have taken them home and we are going to finish them off and have a little comp to judge the work all in good fun.

Cheers

Interesting Ian - Bill Horans prefered materials. Good tip about the oil too - haven't tried that.
Cheers
