Hello

I'm new to sculpting and have only recently managed to sculpt a figure in 54mm and also a 35mm using Greenstuff howerer can someone give me some feed back on sculpting materials and what would be best to use when sculpting in 54mm or larger. :(

Hola!

I would suggest using either Magic Sculpt or Aves Apoxie Sculpt. They are much harder then Duro (green stuff) when cured and can be sanded and carved quite easily.

Hi Matthew, welcome to the planet. As anders said there are other better materials to use, especially than greenstuff. On this site you only have to ask and you'll find all the help that you need. BTW your surname is Grech and that's Maltese!!

You may want to experiment Sculpey as you almost have an unlimited working time. I use putty myself, but use sculpey for at least the head as I can sculpt it at my own pace and then bake it when it's complete.~Gary

If you need any help just ask. But you don't live in Malta do you?

Thanks to all of you for all your feedback.
To Stephen I've just been on your website and have found it excellent as well as pointing me in the right direction as regards to scratch building figures. PS (check your email)
