Hi. Is there such a thing as a sculpting template for figures so I can make sure the figs legs aren't too long, or the torso isn't too short etc? I can't decide if my first attempt will be 54mm, 75mm or 90 mm so I will need to have something to measure against.

I tried posting this question on the sculpt forum but it wouldn't take. I must have done something wrong or perhaps I need a decoder ring and have to know the secret handshake.

Thanks

Gary

Look for any artists human anatomy book, there are loads on the internet.
In the mean time I hope this will help.

Here's a good one for smaller scales, originally on the Prophet Miniatures site:

You could also take this one from Patrick Keith's blog, the image is large enough to be scaled to nearly any size you'd need.

Thanks guys! These will come in very handy. I don't have an artists bone in my body so this should be interesting!

And you could always use the dimensions off another model, large scale, artists shops sell wooden posable models used by painters :)

Hi Gary,
PM me your details and I will copy you a full set of proportioned drawings already scaled so you can use as a reference. I have 200mm, 120mm, 100mm, 90mm, 75mm, 54mm, 1/35. If I can find where I have put them electronically I will e-mail you them.
cheers
Richie
