Hi,

I'm attemping to finish my 54mm pegaso Teutonic grand master.

I'm trying to replicate the blason of Werner Von Olsern.

Here an idea:

Now, here's my work. I'm not really convinced that it is gonna be easy to replicate.

So, now, I was wondering where I could find some help to develop a method to paint heraldry. Is there some books or secrets, websites that someone could share with me to help me to overcome this impossible task:(:rolleyes:!!! It seems that 54mm is really impossible for me to achieve a good result. I'm better in 120mm. The only thing is that I got a bunch of really good figures in that scale still waiting to be paint but my lack of techniques is stoping me to finish them.

I tried to paint that thing for the last 3 days and now, I'm a bit desperate!!!:D

Thanks for sharing!!!

Clarence, For sofar I know there are no secrets.
Ernest has a SBS on painting heraldry on a flag somewhere. And in Danilo´s book there are also some pages about painting heraldry.
For example use a lighter yellow color to paint the eagle and when satisfied go over it with black.
But you need a pincel with a good sharp point. The distribution on the shield looks good you only need to correct here and there.
Hope this helps a little.

Marcel.

Hi
By way of a suggestion.... get hold of a white chalk pencil rather than a graphite one
when you draw the outlines you can correct lines with a damp brush

After that its paint consistency and patience
wishing you every success
