So I picked this kit up at the Lonestar show and I have attempted to do the fleshwork with the airbrush. Being really new to the airbrush I figured I would try and see how much I could do before using the good ole W&N #1. So this is where it stands so far. All the flesh was done completely with the airbrush. I know there is still a lot to do yet and its now time to go back to the W&N but I wanted some honest opinions. I know many of you are a lot better with the airbrush than me so some helpful hints are appreciated. I am using a Harder and Steenbeck Ultra and had my compressor set on 15psi for the main work and dropped it to about 5psi for the detail work. Vallejo paints were used.

Pretty good for a first attempt. I recently started using my airbrush again after a break of many years and didn't manage it half as well - I'd forgotten just how tricky it can be.

I second David. I think it looks great and I'm trying the same thing and not getting near the same results. I've got a bust I use for practicing and was trying to do all of the flesh with an AB, but getting just the right ratio of AB mix and paint is very tricky!

Yes its not easy. If your using the Andrea flesh paints mix about 75% paint to thinner. If Vallejo then 50 50. Keep your psi at about 15 for basecoating. For highlights and shadows, drop your psi and thin your mix more

I think this looks great so far. All the transitions are very subtle yet define the shapes well. Is the scale 90mm? I don't know that this could work on 54mm, unless you're an airbrush expert. Too bad because the result is great:(

Looking forward to further posts on this as you progress
