Seil Marcomannic Warrior 2nd Cent AD. 75mm white metal kit, Sculptor Yury Serevryakov
Received this in the post today. Could not wait to get home from work to unpack it and see all the parts in the box.
Please excuse the not so good photography.
Once unpacked you are faced with the stunning glossy artwork on the box which is a great help as a painting guide, there is also a full colour painting guide sheet included in the box. All parts come in a nice box which is foam lined to help protect the parts.
The kit consists of ten white metal parts which have been cast to a very high standard, very little cleaning up of parts needed and mould lines are practically non existant.
There is also a metal rod included in the kit used for the spear shaft and also a nice photo etched plaque to glue onto your base.
The quality of sculpting and pose of this figure are outstanding. The upper and lower body parts drop together with no visible gaps, I stood it up on the supplied base and it all holds together with great ease.
The shield is fitted at the rear of the figure and locks in nicely into place in the fur cloak.
The right hand and arm that hold the spear are in two separate parts, ok figure this one out when I get to it.
This is going to be a pleasure to paint. Highly recommended for annyone out there interested in this period, nice subject and good quality of casting, another great release from Seil Models
Cheers
