I collect only Series 77 figures. I have most of the 90mm figures, and most of the 77mm from what Series 77 referred to as The Stages.
There ae a few figures that I need for my collection, and am willing to purchase or trade for them. I do have quite a few 90mm Series 77 for trade if anyone is interested. The 90mm are the best for painting, with a lot of detail. But since I collect Series 77 only---I want to get their older and cruder figures, just to have them. Here are the items that I am looking for:

There ae a few figures that I need for my collection, and am willing to purchase or trade for them. I do have quite a few 90mm Series 77 for trade if anyone is interested. The 90mm are the best for painting, with a lot of detail. But since I collect Series 77 only---I want to get their older and cruder figures, just to have them. Here are the items that I am looking for:
- Series 77 figures made in the early 1970s, that are smaller than the 77mm that Series 77 settled on. These early figures are about the size of a Brittains toy soldier---or somewhere around 54-60mm. In the mid - 1970s, when Series 77 decided to increase the size of their figures to 77mm, they apparently were also thinking about moving to the US. I believe, as part of the move, the owner, Pat Bird---decided to select some fiures to be re-tooled to 77mm, but also decided to drop some of the early smaller figures from production. Most of these 54-60mm figures were Napoleonic figures---and I guess that Pat felt that they would not go over as well in the US as they did in Europe. Some of the figures that were dropped from production included band members, with their variuos instruments.
- Series 77 also made some whimsical figures in white metal---and they in fact called the Wimsies. They were only made for a couple of years and then dropped. The Wimsies were funny little slovenly guys dressed up in uniforms.
- Series 77 also got into the bust market and produced two busts that I am aware of. The first was of Napoleon, and the second was a Prussian Cavalry officer, circa 1900, who is wearing a grand pickle helmet with lion on top.
- In the early 1970s, Series 77 came out with some large scale medival weapons. I beleive they were 154mm scale. Included were suits of armor, halberds, two handed swords, crossbows, etc.
- If anyone has any of these Series 77 mentioned above, and would like to sell or trade, please contact me. If you have a cache of any Series 77 and wnat to sell in bulk, contact me.
