Geoff Charman
A Fixture
I'm afraid I have started the Sarnia Miniatures after seeing Nap's very helpful review.
So after a bit of cleaning up, filling a few pin-holes washing and priming I was ready to start him this morning.
Head first painted in my usual Artist's oils, the beard and hair will be given more attention after the oils have dried.
Blocking in the base colours after going around everything with Black Red to pick out the detail, then thinned Flat Red for the main part of the tunic top and German Grey for the collar and around the badges on the right sleeve. The sash given a thinned coat of Crimson as was the VC ribbon, not forgetting the part of the ribbon which is also behind the actual medal.
That's it for today.
