Hi, I have just completed the Bust of Obadiah Hakewill, South Essex Regiment of Foot by Mitches MM to go with Sharpe of the 95th Rifles that I finished just over a week ago.
They were great fun to paint and I am really enjoying this new hobby, wished I started years ago.

The skin tones are really coming on; the reddish nose, the stubble, the cheeks. Well done. Good clean lines on the tunic as well. Top painting.

Thank you for all your kind comments, means a lot. Hopefully, I will keep improving, not sure what project to try next?

I may try different bases in the future, but I am still trying to keep my outgoing as low as possible and these were only £2 each, as I still have more materials to buy, including better brushes, more paints, a magnifier, etc.

Great to see your painting , they certainly have come out well

Like the red you've achieved and the stubble on Obadiah, good rifle green as well as the fleshtones on both

Why not enter a piece into the class of your choice in our FOTM comp and also vote in previous months classes as well as voting in Vignette & Diorama comp #2

PS Agree with Steve ref bases , good companies include Petes Bases and Oakwood Bases , S73 also
