This discovery has been prominent in Australian news as well Colin, because of the Australian connection, that is that Franklin was Governor of Tasmania before he left for the Arctic and indeed because his wife remained a prominent Australian citizen who went on to fund many expeditions to find evidence of her husband's exploration.
And yes it is indeed interesting, it seems that the sister ship will soon be found close by.

Looks like the same clip. It's really annoying that national news services insist on restricting views to their own countries. There are a lot of BBC videos that I can't open.

Oz Mark - I didn't know Franklin was Governor of Taz or that his wife was Australian. She apparently was quite the motivator, if you know what I mean
