Shortcut Painting Technique Using 2 STEPS of Highlighting
Here you can see a Shortcut painting technique using 2 Steps Highlighting technique as the figures are relatively small. Females in 1/35 Scale from Master Box. Here it is the Neutral Grey first dry brushed layer! Over the initial Black Primer, I used the Neutral Grey 992 from Vallejo Model Color series. I chose this paint as the Model Color are thick enough for the dry brushing technique. You can use any acrylic paint you wish but must be thick enough so that can be dry brushed over the black matt primer. The details of the Maids of Master Box Set MB35186 are really excellent having in mind that are plastic and in 1/35 scale! Do not forget that the assembly and preparation of the figures must be done very carefully and try not to leave any moulding lines or defects as this technique will reveal all at once. We had also one small issue there. See how we corrected without much trouble. More you can find at www.mbltd.info. For the Vallejo acrylics you can visit www.acrylicosvallejo.com (or a shop near you). If you are interested to learn more on painting miniatures and scale models visit the Mr Black Publications Webstore (www.mrblackpublications.com).
