Very nice painting and scene. There is some great detail on the face and the shield design is superb. Just got this figure and its an excellent model. If my version turns out half as good as this I'll be happy.

An observation on the basing (not criticism) but interesting that a lot of ancient figures are posed with ruins of ancient buildings, but you might expect them to be in better condition back then. When would ancient structures like columns and temples etc have turned into ruins? I suppose even these could be several hundred years old by the time of this Hoplite.
