Hi all,
First post post of a project in a very long time. I have recently completed the 1/9 bust of a Royal Field Artillery Signaller in 1918 my version is the Foxwood Figures cast.
He is inspired by my Great-Grandfather who was Scottish and served on the Western Front as Driver/Signaller with the Royal Field Artillery. The stone is from the river that runs through some family land where he settled in New Zealand.
This was my first bust and first time using Mike 'The Kiwi' Butler's excellent book as a guide. I attempted Mike's technique for texture in the battle dress and satchel. I think the jury is still out on my execution, but practice makes perfect.
Please excuse the bits that need tidying up - the camera never lies!
