I wasn't sure where to post this. It's a scratchbuilt flat. I made it from Magic Sculp on a glass sheet. I then painted it in oils, but in the style of a watercolour.
Any and all comments / observations are as always, most welcome.
thanks all

Agree with Carl...absolutely innovative. Beautiful.
...and now for something completely different.
How about a little tutorial?

Thankyou all for your kind support.
John, as usual, was very astute in his remark. A change of pace is what I was after in this piece. A study of a pensioner at the end of his service in the Army. The British Army in India is largely ignored these days, but it's a theme I shall return to.

In terms of technique, well pretty little really(!)
I take a picture I like, the make a flat of it sculpted onto a glass sheet in Magic Sculp. I did a background on this one to give it some context.

As I say, any questions please do feel free to ask.
thanks again

I saw this at Euro - really like it.. And you're right, there aren't enough British Army in India figures!

Anthony,

I am so gald you posted this for all to see.
It is a fabulous piece.
I hope to see it at MFCA next year ? YES ?
I see you went to EURO with it... I hope to make it there one day.

I really like this piece, because it is so unusal and it does fool the eye.

Great piece.

Dee
