I am painting a roman Praetorian guard and want to paint his armour silver but a silvered bronze. I have undercoated with bright silver acrylic and now want to cover with oil paint to darken and dull it a bit. My question what oil color would you folks recommend I use so that it looks like new amour but not shiny brand new armour. i was thinking Paynes gray any suggestions?
