Sioux Chief
1/9 th scale resin ( white metal feathers optional while supply lasts )

This is the 2nd time this kit has come accross my desk. The 1st, by the original manufacturer was painted and sold years ago. The kit is comprised of 34 parts ( white metal feathers were optional instead of resin and TLB has only a limited supply of them). The figure was well packed with styrofoam chips and bubble wrap with the smaller parts (feathers) in a seperate bag.
The hair braids along with optional decorations were in yet another baggie to ensure against loss.
The feathers here are the optional white metal feathers (25) and are highly detailed.
The hair braids are cast seperately along with the beadwork conchos and skull for decoration on the bone breast plate.
Here the chief has his head turned to the left and the facial expression is excellent and shows "attitude".
The bust comes with a round base plinth to elevate the bust up off the wood base (not supplied) and allow for the hair braids to hang down below the bust.
The bone hair breast plate has exceptional detail with fringe hanging to each side.
Conclusion Exceptional figure of a Native American Sioux Chief with a different pose than we usually see. Well casted resin with minimal seam lines and NO air holes.
