if you are looking to combine 1/35 figs with 54mm ones, I would say you pronbably shouldn't do it. They are not the same scale. There would likely be too much discrepency between the two scales to get away with it. Besides, most 1/35 figures are consistent in their scale, where some 54mm figures vary quite a bit in "actual" scale (usually to larger). HTH,

IMHO, it depends. Yes, the 54mm is going to be larger, but some people are larger than others. You might be able to pull this off as long as the equipment is all from one source.
 
I would also say compare the actual pieces if your able to. Mixing 54mm figure and 1/35 or 1/32 is a little tough to do. You'll find that a lot of sculptors have different ways of interpreting the buil and anatomy on figures. some sculpt thin slender figures, while others go for a beefier look.~Gary
 
I think 1/35 is about 50mm, and 54mm is 1/32.

Some excellent figures are more like 60mm, or about 1/30 scale, fe. in the EMI range their excellent Buffalo Bill , cowboy, pirate etc.
