Found this link to a useful and practical seminar on sculpting 28mm figures.
Forgot it was in my favourites but thought I'd share it.

I know there's not many 'mini' sculpters here, but it contains useful hints that can apply to any scale.

A great starting point the scale really doesn't matter.
