Dear friends.
We want to show you one of the next releases. We decided to take a break from the Germans and make to the Allies. Our theme will be British SAS in Africa. It has long wanted to try this topic.

Dmitry Shishkov made the first set of the planned cycle sets. In this set of 2 pieces, the driver will be asked a few hands with various types of submachine guns (MP-40, STEN, Thompson).

While Dmitry will sculpt the rest of the crew, I'll do the preparation jeeps. I will use the jeep Dragon and kits Legend and Black Dog.

Did the SAS use the pedestal mounted .50 ?
I was thinking front mounted weapon station, the rear compartment was used for stowage.
However I could be wrong.
Good looking figures.

Good point Chris - never seen a genuine pic of that weapon configuration on SAS jeeps.
Whatever - they had ideas about weapon configuration that were more extravagant (although not necessarily SAS)

so a pedestal mounted 50 calibre might have been an option - although I agree that the stowage could have presented a problem. Weapons would have therefore mainly been operated from the front seat as far as I know.
Cheers, Martin

I Googled these images using "SAS Western Desert, Libya, WW2". Are those like double Bren guns in a mount? Looks like the most common weapon mounted on the jeeps.

All the best,
Dan

Like I said, most SAS jeeps had front mounted crew served weapons.
There are many images of rear mounted twin vickers.
To bad, I will still get the pair of figures and use them for post war use.

How are these figures going, will a version or close to these figures will be coming out soon???
