Completed Soldier Crabs

Some of you may have been thinking of a totally different organism which can sometimes find itself at home upon various parts of the soldiers body, rather than the one I'm going to introduce you to which is called........Mictyris longicarpus.

My daughter sculpted and painted this one from sculpey as part of her combined works for the year at university, tonight she won an endowed award for natural history illustration.
As you may be able to tell I'm more than a little bit proud of her.
