Completed Critique Somewhere beyond the sea

[Iguazzu]

Hi friends!

This was my last work before the WE. It's a special figure, sculpted by Pedro Fernandez cos' there are only six copies in the world. It's a 70mm (taking reference of the siren's body).

Painted with oils and some acrylics.

It won a silver medal in the WE. It's not at 100% like in my mind, but I think it's fine.

Really nice work Alex. The fleshtones are the strongest area in the painting for me, wonderfully smooth. I really like how you've painted most of the rusty metal too.

FWIW I think silver is a fair score for it.

About the water effect; I used Andrea's resin water for the base and... well, I don't know it's name in english... but it's a kind of fiber for fishing... I'm not sure what's its real name... sorry...
