Hi all
With inspiration from seeing Roc's Spartacus, and armed with
Jaume's SBS I have made a start on the face still some way to go.
The colours used are Vallejo Cork brown, Sunny skintone,
Citadel Flesh wash and black.

A very nice start Frank - one could almost believe that its a finish! When using Vallejos I have used a lot of Citadddel inks too. I've used chestnut, flesh, red, blue, green, purple, orange, yellow and even black. Someone once told me that he had concerns re. the permanence of these materials. I've noticed no problems so far.

Hey Frank!

That is looking good so far! Do you usually paint with acrylics or are you normally an oil painter? Either way it looks very nice, looking forward to the next pictures!

Hi Colin,
Its In the tidy up stage, taking out hard edges, refining here and there.
I use Citadel inks to thin Vallejos, keeps the pigment strong.

Working with "thicker" ink rather than thin paint.

Well done Frank..........I am waiting for my paints and will try Jaume's method too. I hope mine comes out as good as yours

Thank's for the encouragement guys

finished the face (hope I can stop tinkering with it)
Just made a start on the mail.

Jaume your technique makes me work with a few colours
instead of getting my whole collection of paints out.
I can even remember what the colour mixes were.Thank's again
