From an email from Andy Meyers:

Here is the final version of the 1/9 scale (Bust) Special Forces sniper in Afghanistan.
Sneak peek of the new Bust from "Special Ops Models"
Just have to finish the Decals for it...
The Barrett 50 cal. sniper rifle has a CNC Brass fluted turned barrel going the whole Leigh of the gun so it will never warp... A 6" long rifle.

It will come with different options of decals for the modeler and two different head options too..
This time I did a lot of sculpting on this one, I had to sculpt the Arms, baseball cap,
and the heard on one of the heads and made all the equipment and the Barrett 50 cal.

Brass wire, soider wire, lead foil, etc..that will be in the kit.
All the equipment is separate from the Bust so the modeler has the option customize
where they want to put the equipment. "Thinking out side the box"

Andy,

That is one outstanding bust!! You have gone over the top on this one. Love that big bad .50 cal. rifle! Are you going to have some at MMSI?

Nick

Hi All,
Thanks for the kind remarks on the Special Forces Bust...
Glad a lot of you guy's like this one.
I made the Barrett 50 cal. a while back ago and wanted to do this sniper for a while.
I have a friend that has a CNC shop to do the Brass barrels for me..
The Brass barrels are almost the Leigh of the gun - so you don't have to worry about the barrel warping..and in 1/9 scale the Barrett is about 6'' long....One big Mother.....LOL
The muzzle suppressor is resin and keys into the Brass barrel..

Mrosko -
Yes Alan Ball did some of this Bust too, I had some old parts that Alan had sculpted -the head & chest and Oakley gloves. I did a lot of re-sculpting on this one.
I did the baseball cap - re-did the arms - added the beard to the face and made the Equipment & Barrett 50 cal. rifle.
The hardest part was matching up the sculpting that Alan did so it all looked the same.
I am much slower then Alan sculpting...LOL
So yes, Mrosko - I can sculpt too....:D

It should be out in a few weeks, just have to finish up the Decals for it and send the art work to a friend that dose the Decals for me...
Later this is going to be a full figure too. I am working on the lower half (The legs)
Will post it when the Bust is ready to ship for orders..

Thanks guy's,
Yes that Barrett is one big Mother.... it around 6" long in 1/9 scale...
I am also going to put in the kit some extra equipment so the modeler has a choice to pick the type of equipment they want of the fig.
Same thing go's with the Decal sheet too.
Going to have a few types of patches to pick from too.

Chris,
Didn't mean to sound rude....No harm done brother. Glad you like the Bust.

Andy
