Historical Note:

About the uniforms of German officers in 1940s(WWII)

Not all combinations of German forces were factory issue. The officers used to wear a custom-made coverall from Italian camouflage material. Because of their popularity, many crews sought to obtain combinations after their discontinuance. This resulted in a variety of different coveralls being worn by SS armored crews. This photograph is dated 1944.

This is a white metal kit, 200mm, sculpted by Han Dong Il. The kit consists of a total of 24 parts, both white metal and etched brass. The color guide gives pictorial instructions on the etched brass assembly.

Although the bust looks great and is well cast it looks just like a Young Miniatures bust, looks like the same PE set and everything from one of Young's busts. Pretty un imaginative...oh well, its a nice bust and Im sure we will see many of them painted up over the years.

Ditto!
Nothing more than a poor imitation of Young B. Song's work
in my opinion. It's obvious that the sculptor had Young's bust
in front of him when making his own, but I wonder if the
management at Seil was aware of Young's bust when accepting
the master from the sculptor. If Seil was aware of this, it's
poor business manner. Just my 2 yens

Definately Taesung,

Although sometimes it is hard to know how long they have been sitting on the master, their knowledge of competition etc, Seil being in Korea they should be very aware of what Young is doing...

For example, Andrea came out with a kit of a Cowboy sitting infront of a western building in a wooden chair. It was released just weeks before one I sculpted for Der Bunte Rock and the figures are very similar, and I was commissioned to do that figure months before the Andrea release with no knowledge about that figure from Andrea. It happens I guess.

I know. If Seil was not aware of Young's bust which had been out for a
while, I believe Seil didn't do anything dishonorable. Like you said, it happens. I guess this type of "bigger company trys to muscle out
smaller competition" by releasing same items at the similar time happens
in every industry and is considered a standard business practice...

Hello every one!!

I am happy to meet to you. I'm Park Sung Taek, in charge of vice-president of Seil Models.
At first, I appreciate all of your concern about our products.

Seil hope to tell all of you that our item SB20004 'SS Amor Crew' is not imitated from Young Miniatures, and also it is never the figure to be made to give a disadvantage to Young Miniatures with any malicious intent.

We only hope to tell this. When we almost finished to release this figure, we knew that Young Miniature released earlier the analogous figure to ours.
However, even if its some parts were similar, we judged it was clearly different figure with Young Miniature's, and so we released it making no account of these points.

If Young Miniature's suffered damage from ours, we feel really sorry about it.

And further, we admit it was our mistake not to research deeper in advance about such a similar products from other companies.

We promise to all of you that we will make effort harder not to happen again such a problem.

Thank you again for your concern to us.

Sincerely Yours.

Hello to all

I'm Young B Song in Young Miniatures.
Thank you so much for all your interest about our figure.
And also Thanks a lot about kind Message from Mr. Park.

I think impatiently about this situation.
When Seil released 'SS Amor Crew', I was some surprised and wonder .
Sure, I think that Seil's bust is not dead copy of our "SS Panzer Officer".
But They had to more research deeper about similar item like this time.

I know that set of item choice or image is very difficult.
Also, I do a lot of mistakes.
However, I think that manufacturing companies should try more for more good and originative figure.
Every Month, I'm so excite, receiving impetus and happy because of beautiful new figures of other company.
Because I'm president of Young Miniatures, and also I'm modeller.
I hope that Seil will produce more good and originative figures.
And I believe it.
Sure, we will more try too.

We never suffered damage from this situation.
Don't worry about it.

I will expect next new figures of Seil.

Thanks.
