Hi all,

as a new kid in town I'd like to introduce myself to you by showing one of my latest figures.
Formerly known as the Kampfgruppe Hanssen 1/16 Dragonfigure I prefer to anounce him as Heinz II, because of the light altering I did on him.
Especially the trousers, positioning of the lowerarms were shaped again and another head was given to him.
Also the helmetcover was done with putty.
Anyway, my paintjob on Heinz:

Let me know what you think of him...

René

thanks!

Hi Carl, Marc,

Thanks, I didn't hear this one yet.

I have two reasons why I didn't yet:
- I am scared to dirty the figure because I just applied this camouflage carefully recently.
Secondly, I am used to dirtying in a final stage where I can have a good overlook at the kind of dirts.
This is where he will end up, in a piece of bush with a lot of foliage up to his upper legs:

Honestly, for the dirt I was regarding some pigments on his knees, some on his shoes.
If someone has some fine ideas about other common ways to dirty this one (also for primarely stages), I am glad to hear.

For extra highlights I thought it would also be wise to wait enhancing them locally until the tree is finished which would derive some parts of light on this one.

So,..it's an environmental issue here and yes,...I'm scared
that's why I am here now and absorbe all the good lessons to be learned.

thanks for your replies gentlemen!

René

Hi all,

having finished the setting and preparing it for photography, I was hoping if anybody has some suggestions for a proper title...
Dirtying is something I will apply to his elbows and some on his upper legs.
If anybody has some fine clues for this one, I would be glad to hear :)

Hi Carl,
in this case there's nothing wrong with you eyes.
In fact you're the first who notices, I'm afraid.

next question is how these grenades were attached, I'm curious..

thanks a lot,

René

If you are John Rambo by the safety pin(not a good idea). Usually by the safety lever tucked down a belt etc.
Hope this helps,
Carl.

oh, you are of great help already...

this little colored screw on top ( blue or red I believe) could be a nice detail.

thanks,

René

Ow my goodness,...I notice, in case this type were attached, it must have been upside down, because of the ring...

 puzzeled...

Maybe we can just critique the figure as a figure, not what it represents to someone. After all this is the painting thread not criticize the figure for what it represents thread. I know sometimes a figure or vignette is meant to provoke some sort of response. How many SS figures are out there? They are nothing new. ~Gary

PS, I'm not trying to be nasty, but the subject of figures representing the SS and how they are found offensive has been beaten to death.
