Hello,
This is a figure from ARes Mytologic, represents a Catalan soldier during the Spanish succesion war.
I'm not completly happy with the result, but this is my first 75mm figure and I would like to know your opinion.
Cheers!

Awesome work.
The only comment that I can make is the eye's. The right pupil is in the centre of the eye, the left one is in the left corner.
You will bring the figure to a higher level if you can correct that.
The eye's and face is the first thing where the people look at.

I think you have handled this very well, from the blues and whites to the ground colour. I agree with Mark that maybe the eyes need a little more work, perhaps a darker upper eyelid to define the shape a little more and more definition on the pupils which look a bit washed out. Something I struggled with for along time with was white Cross belts, have a look at what others are doing and then decide if you want to be a bit bolder...it's a matter of personal preference.

There is an awful lot to like here, I only comment because you asked for feedback.

You obviously had some concerns of your own? as a matter of interest what were they?

Thank a lot, I really appreciate your feedback.
Maybe I put the post in the wrong place because I was looking for the opinion of other painters in order to improve my painting!
In general I'm happy with the result but there is something which dislike me. You are right because the eyes are not well defined and the figure is a little bit cross-eyed! I will look for a systematic method to do it well. Thanks a lot!

I think you are being a bit hard on yourself. I like it. Is the lace on the left side of his jacket completed or should it be white?

The jacket lace looks unfinished, but the rest of the figure looks fine. I really cannot tell about the eyes from the photos.

Looks great to me. Yes maybe the eyes are a bit 'soft' but overall very well done. I especially like your use of colour contrasting the blue in the jacket with orange and rust colours in the skin tones and dirt on the cobblestones.
Cheers
Mat
