Static grass

Hi everyone, my 1st post - be gentle and sorry, no doubt you've had this one before.

Whilst I'm not completely new to figure modelling, I still see myself as a novice. The more I read on the subject the more I realise how little I know, but this site is wonderful, glad to be aboard.

Anyway, what's the best way to depict grass? I have a few backs of static grass but I'm not overly impressed with the results I've had thus far. Anyone got any favourites or tips? Thanks.

There is a search option on this forum. I typed static grass and have alot of info.
