A couple of years ago when I said I was new at this you friendly folks helped with my 1st figure. Did well with it too winning some awards.
OK... a couple of years later and I am still new and trying my hand at some figures again. Doing some 1/35 scale figures for an Iraqi Enigma tank dio.
Back then I had found a toot on the Vallejo sight that was pretty comprehensive. All about brushes and paints and how to thin them. How to build up the shadows and highlights with multiple layers of very thin paint and what to mix to lighten and darken the colors. Well I can't find it again and I am sure I am just being lame but does anyone know the one I mean and if it is still out there somewhere?
This in the Iraqi tanker that came with the kits and I changed him form, "I'm in command." to "I give up." I did the cover with raw umber oil and wipe it off the highlights leaving it in the shadows and hitting the highlights with a lighter color. Not unhappy with the look. But want to play with doing a more tradition method.
