Hey guys,

Got a question that's slightly off topic but related....

Do any of you have any experience making still pictures off of a DVD movie in a computer format (JPG, GIF etc..)? If so, how do you go about doing this? What hardware/software is needed? It would be great to be able to freeze frame a pose/facial expression etc. (not to metion an entire subject) from a movie to use as a reference.

Hi Jim

If you've got DVD software its fairly simple at its most basic level:
Play DVD on full screen mode and hit print screen key = copies to clipboard
Then paste into some basic image software and print!

I've done this before; not a perfect result but more than adequate.

If anyone has other methods, I'd be keen to know!

hope this helps

Guys, I would not mind being able to do this myself. It would be neat to be able to pause the DVD on the computer just like on a regular DVD player and save the images to you picture folder.~Gary
