I recently picked up a new camera and decided to post the backlog of pieces I've picking off my 'grey army'

Stormtrooper 60th Royal American, War of 1812
1/9 scale
Painted in oils and printers inks over enamels

either your camera is not taking pictures, or you did not attach one.
OR my connection is playing up.

Whatever the reasone, I see no pictures

Thanks Highlander(y) ...I'm showing they are attached and I can see them when I click on the file icon and the DSC. jpg beside it but I guess nothing is coming out when you look at. Not sure if has to do with the original format downloaded from the camera. A photographer, I ain't:(

Hi Paul

Put the picture in your thread for you ...stunning work , wished I had a copy of this one

Really like the Reds on this and of course the lacework

Blow it's I love it all

Thanks for sharing

Nap

PS Why not put something into FOTM as well if you wish

Thanks Nap. Not sure why its not working. I'm doing what I usually do, which is create the thread, upload a file from my photos, add commentary and post. Viola! except today. Hmmm

Thanks everyone for all the positive vibes. This bust was a pleasure to work on. Literally a few strokes with a blade and a swipe of putty to fill the seam. I did fill out the side burns a bit but that was a personal choice rather than a problem with the kit. Stormtrooper is one of my favourite companies.

great job Paul, the best version of this bust i have seen. I paint a lot of 95th/60th Rifles, if i could ask whats your green mix? Jim

Thanks Jim:

Undercoat with a mix of Humbrol Forest Green (105) and a little Black (33)

Oils are all Winsor and Newton
Base coat: Prussian Green + Indigo + a little Mars Black
Shade 1: Basecoat + Mars Black
Shade 2: Mars Black
High 1: Base + Yellow Ochre
High 2: High 1 + Yellow Ochre + Titanium White
Above all wet on wet

Redo Shade 2 and High 2 - wet on dry

I added a little Yellow Ochre to the basecoat for the pelisse to give a slight tonal variation from the jacket
