Hi all here is the new vignette from TFB Miniatures it’s in 75mm and is called straight and True. It depicts a mongol archer retrieving his Arrow form a dead foe. The unfortunate recipient of the Arrow is based on a Eastern European warrior.

You could add the mongol commander to the scene to make a even bigger vignette if you so wished. It was sculpted by Igor (Master on here).

Its up for pre order on the web site now www.tfbminiatures.co.uk

Happy modelling

Hi Snik thank you for the kind words , I have to say it will make a nice vignette a bit blood thirsty especially with the heads in the sack in front of the commander.

As to more mongols we are looking at maybe a mounted heavy cavalry guy in the future, Igor seems to like this period of history so yes is the answer more to come.

Very nice. Based on but still different than the iconic piece of artwork. I’m curious what medium this is sculpted in that gives this orange color.

Hi Steve

A lot going on there , loads of details to get the brushes around , will certainly paint up well

Well done to Igor for the sculpt

Thanks for sharing

Nap

Hi Mark, he is a mongol from the later period, Igor (Master) based it on armour he researched see the attached photo. He added bits from other sources. And the unfortunate warrior is of Eastern European origin hope that clears it up.

Just forgot to say don’t think it’s the camera angle this time, last time he did look a little bit squeezed but looks better on these photos. And I’m sure when we have him cast up I will post new ones.

Kevin, yes it is based on the iconic art work but we gave him scope to do as he saw fit. He wanted to take it down a different path, which we think he did. Lots to paint on him and is will be quite colourful when completed.

We have been asked the question before what medium he uses but still not found out I have to say the casting team find it good for gassing and holds up well during the process, I’m sure if you pose the question he will explain. He does get very good detail with it that’s for sure.

Nap yes it’s going to be a very interesting project for those that buy it.

For sure we know that a few of our customers are keen to add it to the mongol commander.

We have also been asked if we are going to release a mounted mongol so we have just commissioned one which we hope will fit nicely alongside what is becoming a much bigger vignette.

What’cha this space for updates.

Hi Blind Pew thank you for the kind words, we hope it is as Igor put a lot of work into it to make it his own. I’m sure when Igor reads this he will be very very happy with the response.

Hi Snik we are just waiting for the master to arrive it will be a very quick turn round as interest has been good so we need to get it out. The mongol commander is being shipped from tomorrow. He has come out very well indeed. I will post when we are shipping you can pre order through the site if you so wish.

Igor is starting work on the first of Two mounted mongols I have put the art work for them below. Again they will fit in a vignette with the foot figures or stand alone.

I think you've got another winner here Steve.
Too blood thirsty for myself, but I look forward to seeing some painted versions.

Hi Malc thank you for the kind words, yes it’s a bit bloodthirsty but such is war and it sort of fits the scene. But it’s proving popular which is good.
