Great work Carl, I love your camo work...

I have this one too and was thinking of using the head with riot helmet instead. Any problems with building the figure? Unfortunately, the SLR in my kit is badly warped.

Mario

Try straightening the SLR with an hairdryer. Aligning the weapon and the hand is a drama. I would advise drilling and pinning everything before you put paint on him. That way you'll know everything will line up.
Carl.

Superb job on this one mate, your camo and 58 patt webbing colours are bang on, a nice touch to add the SLR sling to the wrist.

Great job mate

Carl,

The execution is flawless. I envy how you rendered the face, and I applaud your decison for subdued lighting on the uniform. And that base is hardcore stuff!

This is really something else. Congrats!!! Now I want to lay my hands on this kit, kinda badly.

A real corker Carl, how's the mutt search going?

The dog would really set this one off, if you fail in your search I could always try and sculpt you one?

Cheers,
Jon.

Hi Carl!

This is not my favourite period as you know, but I like it very much.(y)
I didnt know that English army has the FNFAL rifle?!

Saw this at the club last night, minus Mark's painted head and I must say congrats mate on the brilliant painting and great work on the base.
Now who's got that dog. (y)

Cheers Ken

Thanks to everyone for taking the time to comment. Pedro the FNFAL was known as the SLR here, but has since been replaced by the SA80. Lots of abbreviation speak there, I enjoyed that.;)

Hi Carl,

I'll resist the urge to wind you up about the colour of the denims and the DPM patterns and simply say "well done". Mark's head is a perfect addition. The watchfulness in the eyes show the real tension on being on patrol in bandit country. Great base and great figure.

Carl,

Brings back some memories of walking the streets of the Lower Falls, Beechmounts, Springfield Rd et al circa 1981-83. Superb execution as always.

Cheers,
Chris(y)
