Hello friends.
I already wear glasses for reading and modelling. But the last few months have been struggling to see.
But having had an eye test, I have macular degeneration in my right eye.
I won't be googling it as I would probably just scare myself to death.
Anyway I will have to wear glasses all the time(varifocals)so hopefully I will be seeing much better.
Ralph.

Hi Ralph.

There is nothing I can say that will make it go away, but I was given to understand from a radio program that as we get older,
I wider variety of people than we think have macular degenerative issues at differing levels.
May I wish your only difficulty is which designer frames give you the 'sexy edge' back buddy.

Paul.

Thanks Paul.
I think the most depressing thing was the price of the bloody glasses and lenses £204:eek: .And no they were not designer glasses:cool:.

Hi Ralph ,Looking on the positive side mate ...bet you look great in those glasses ....I virtually have to wear an optivisor ...when driving ..lol .....Keep smiling the price of glasses is a small price to pay for looking so good
Nap ...looking not so good

The only other alternative suggestion mooted recently was prescription windscreens for cars.
Seems a good idea at first.
But then, I got a mental image of Nap's huge head with leering grin coming towards me and had nightmares for weeks.

So ..... I am going back to experimenting with inventing braille pornographic magazines.
It's been great so far, I got my fingers on the pulse with this one.

Paul.

Ralph,
The price is cheap as long as you can see with them  . Now if you can't see with them then that is a different story :arghh: . Keep painting.

My wife has neuropathy in her legs and takes medication for it. The medication makes her vision blurry which she complains about since she likes to sew quilts. Is a no win situation. Do you see and have pain / or do you not have pain and things are a little blurry??????????????? These are the GOLDEN years. So they say???? :woot::woot::wtf:
Cheers
John

Ralph it's an age thing mate. I was trying to paint a 54 mm face this week and have to wear my reading glasses and my optivisor and still a struggle. I can go back 5 years and remember painting at this scale with only glasses. Don't worry to much mate. I enjoy painting busts and 120mm as I can see them.

Cheers Tommi

Not worried too much Tommi.
I think I'll just stick to 120mm and busts.
