Just curious I'm about to start Steve Readies Pilgrims Protector and anybody got tips for depicting sweat ? I thought (hoped) it might be as simple as a semi-gloss/ gloss varnish but have the horrible feeling it's not that easy! :cautious:

Hi, Steve, you might like to have a look at this figure, finished by anime modeler Cody Kwok and shown at his website:

http://codyscoop.com/models/figures/eo-kagura

He mentions using a gel for the water droplets on the girl's body.

If you browse his anime girl builds, I think you'll find some other, similar subjects, in which he reproduced beads of water on a body. I would think the techniques would be very appropriate for what you're trying to do.

And besides, he does some fantastic work with anime, mecha, and garage kit subjects.

Hope that helps, prosit!

You can use glossy varnish in small scale figures let's say no larger then 75 mm.
Above that you can use epoxy glue. Let the glue cure a little and take a drop and put it on the figure. Works also for blood.

Thanks Brad and Marc, I've got some plastic glue drops I was going to try but the epoxy sounds a better way to go more flexible

Cheers
Steve
